Applying for ethics

Applying for ethics – a 45 minute workshop on 30 Mar 2022, from 1230pm.

I know when I completed my first research ethics application I was SO nervous. I heard horror stories about simple requests being knocked back. Or drowning in paperwork. Now, I’ve done a few, I’m not saying they’re easy, but having a guiding hand might be useful. I know I would have benefited. And, it is something most academics don’t have or make time for.

The National Code on ethics and associated forms, were supposed to make applying for ethics easy. But, for many it made no difference. And for some, it just made things harder. And if you’ve never seen an ethics application before – it doesn’t really matter.

So, I’ve built this workshop for you. Bring your ethics along. We’ll work through the application together. It’ll be fun… maybe.
