Successful careers require a sold resume, CV and (in this day of online everything) social media.
Although there are different social media for different purposes, LinkedIn is universally used for job search and job placement.
In this workshop Dr Richard Huysmans will go through:
- 1300 – CVs – what they are; how and when to keep them up-to-date
- 1330 – Resumes – why they are more important than CVs; how to use them; what hiring managers are looking for
- 1400 – LinkedIn – using LinkedIn to find opportunities for research or work.
- 1500 – Q and A
Registrants are welcome to join or leave as and when they see fit. Formalities will conclude at 1530, but Richard will stay online until 1700 or all questions are answered (which ever comes first).
This event is restricted to Monash University, Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences early- and mid-career researchers. If that’s you, fill in this form and I’ll see if a seat can be arranged for you).
